Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Anthill Networks ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and protects information through the CredBook mobile application ("CredBook", the "App") for Android, package name com.okcred.app. CredBook is a digital ledger ("khata") app that helps small business owners record credit given to, and payments received from, their customers and suppliers.

By using CredBook, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

a. Account & authentication information

When you sign in with your phone number, we collect that phone number to send a one-time password (OTP) and to identify your account. When you sign in with Google, we collect the email address, display name and profile photo provided by your Google account via Firebase Authentication.

b. Business & profile information

Your business name and, optionally, a profile photo you choose to upload.

c. Customer & supplier information

When you add a customer or supplier ("party") to your ledger, we collect the name and phone number you enter for that person, along with their running balance. This is personal information about a third party that you, the business owner, provide to us — it is your responsibility to have the appropriate basis (such as an existing business relationship) to share it with us.

d. Transaction / ledger records

Each transaction you record — amount, type (credit given or payment received), date, and any notes you add — is stored as part of your ledger. These are bookkeeping records you create; see "Payments" below for how this differs from processing an actual payment.

e. Bill and receipt photos

If you choose to attach a photo to a transaction, CredBook will ask for access to your camera or photo library to capture or select that image, which is then uploaded and stored against the relevant transaction.

f. Information stored on your device

CredBook keeps a local, on-device cache of your session and profile information so the App works offline and loads faster. PDF account statements you generate are also saved to your device's storage until you delete them.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and authenticate your account, and keep you signed in.
  • To let you record, view and manage credit and payment transactions with your customers and suppliers.
  • To generate PDF account statements and reports at your request.
  • To let you contact a customer or supplier directly by phone call or WhatsApp, when you choose to do so.
  • To keep your data synced and backed up across the services described below.
  • To provide customer support when you contact us.

3. Third-Party Services We Use

CredBook relies on the following service providers to operate. Each processes data on our behalf:

  • Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore database) — used to sign you in and as the primary store for your account, party and transaction data.
  • Supabase — used as a secondary database mirror of the same account, party and transaction data, and to store bill/receipt photos you upload.
  • SMS/WhatsApp OTP delivery provider — when you sign in with your phone number, the OTP code is delivered to you through a third-party messaging gateway. We do not use this provider for anything other than delivering login OTPs.
  • Google Sign-In — used only if you choose to sign in with your Google account.
  • WhatsApp — if you use the "remind on WhatsApp" feature, CredBook hands off a message (and optionally a statement image) to the WhatsApp app on your device. We do not have access to WhatsApp's own handling of that message once it leaves CredBook.

We do not use any advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or crash-reporting SDK in CredBook at this time.

4. App Permissions

CredBook requests the following Android permissions, each tied to a specific feature:

  • Camera — to photograph a bill or receipt and attach it to a transaction.
  • Storage / Photos, media and files — to attach an existing photo to a transaction and to save PDF statements you generate.
  • Phone (Call) — to let you call a customer or supplier directly from their account screen, when you tap to do so.
  • Internet / network access — required for all sign-in, sync and backup functionality described above.
  • CredBook may also check whether specific apps, such as WhatsApp, are installed on your device so it can offer the "share to WhatsApp" and "remind on WhatsApp" features. We do not collect or transmit your full list of installed apps.

5. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your information. We share information only in the following situations, all of which you initiate:

  • When you tap "Remind on WhatsApp," CredBook sends a message (and, if available, a captured statement image) to WhatsApp for you to review and send. CredBook does not send this automatically or without your action.
  • When you export or share a PDF statement, it is handed to the app you choose via your device's share menu.
  • When you tap to call a customer or supplier, your device's phone dialer is opened with their number.
  • With the service providers listed in Section 3, solely to operate the App as described in this policy.
  • If required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of Anthill Networks or others.

6. Payments

CredBook does not process payments. The App does not collect or store card numbers, bank account details, UPI IDs, or any payment credentials, and no payment gateway is integrated into the App. The "My Plan" screen in the App is currently informational only and does not support in-app purchases or subscriptions. The transaction records you enter (amounts marked as credit given or payment received) are bookkeeping entries you create to track balances with your customers and suppliers — CredBook does not move money on your behalf. If in-app purchases or payment processing are introduced in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly before that feature becomes available.

7. Notifications

CredBook does not send push notifications or local device notifications. Reminders to customers or suppliers are only ever sent by you, manually, through WhatsApp or your phone's dialer, as described in Section 5.

8. Data Storage, Retention & Security

Your data is stored with our service providers listed in Section 3, which may store and process data on servers located outside your country of residence. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including transmitting data over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your account, party and transaction data for as long as your account remains active, so that your ledger stays available to you. If you want your account and associated data deleted, contact us using the details in Section 10 and we will action your request.

9. Your Choices & Rights

  • You can review and edit the customer, supplier and transaction information you've entered directly within the App.
  • You can sign out of the App at any time from the account menu.
  • You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting us at the email below.

10. Children's Privacy

CredBook is intended for business owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to CredBook or applicable law. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
